37 Furlong Road:- Bats are a Protected Species!

June 9, 2008

It has come to our attention that the bats that are regularly seen at dusk around 37 Furlong Road (and may/probably originate from this site) are a protected species. This has been flagged to Natural England and WDC so that they are aware. If the bats are indeed at risk – as local residents, we need to ensure that the appropriate actions are in place to ensure that this is dealt with in the appropriate manner. If this is something that you feel is an issue that should be highlighted – please feel free to register your views via the WDC website and/or drop an email to Natural England.

The last sighting of the bats was on 08 June 2008 so they are still very much in existence in the area.
