Bucks free press reports on recent Woburn Parish Council meeting, when councillors slammed the proposed development of 15 flats in Furlong Rd. Councillor Bazley described the plan as ‘hidious’. Councillor Bailey urged residents to write to object to the development, saying, ‘please do not think, on any application, that by coming to us you have done your job because what you say to Wycombe in an e-mail or letter has an impact. 2 June – Furlong Road traffic petition
Many will be aware & will have signed Ian Francis (No. 34) petition highlighting concerns about traffic volumes in Furlong Road. Local councilor David Watson formally presented our petition regarding traffic concerns in Furlong Road to Valerie Letheren (The Cabinet Member for Transportation) at a meeting on 15th May.

Ian tells us that local Councilors David Watson and Simon Fowke are both very supportive of our concerns about high traffic volumes in Furlong Road.

You can find the article from Target Magazine here. You can view a copy of the Bucks CC letter dated 15 May 2008 here.

We have also created an opinion map from the representations that have been published on the WDC website. You can find the opinion map here. As you can see, we are still short of the 50+ responses that we could get if everybody in the road made a submission. So, if you have a view – please make a submission to the WDC as soon as possible, either by sending in a letter or making an electronic submission here.
